Little Planet Tutorial

Here are some quick steps on how to make a little planet

1. Shoot your panorama 360 degree or 180 degree. (its easier if the ends are similar you wont need to clone as much)

2. Stitch it together in Photoshop or another Panorama program

3. In Photoshop the image needs to be flattened so if you want to keep your layers make a duplicate copy

4. Under Image/Image Size uncheck scale styles and constrain proportions now make the height and width the same size try and split the difference so that your making width less and height more so they are equal. hit ok. ( your going to have a a squished image that looks funny that’s ok)

5 Go to image/image rotation and rotate 180 so its upside down

6. Go to filter/distort/polar coordinates and choose rectangular to polar

7. From here you can rotate it if need be and mask out or clone any parts that are not perfect
